We call them trees instead of broccoli this girl loves them so much. I had to go a whole year without eating any as she took them all from my plate 😂

She would choose broccoli over a packet of crisps any day. Yesterday she was eating her salad leaves we had grown in the garden, and said "I'm going to be strong and healthy mummy, I'm going to grow really tall".🥗
As a mother this makes me so happy to hear. She's learning what is healthy for her. She had come so far since her feeding issues and enjoys all kinds of food and looks forward to mealtimes.
I couldn't ask for more. 💕

We've had a few Questions about egg dying, so here

We've had a few Questions about egg dying, so here's some answers...

Yes you can eat them after they are dyed as long as they are not cracked. If they become cracked some of the natural ingredients you're using for a dye and the vinegar or lemon juice gets inside to the egg which will not leave a pleasant taste.

The egg inside should remain the usual white colour when boiled. If the egg white is no longer white, I would believe that the egg has fine line cracks somewhere. If this happens I would not eat the egg. You could instead used it for an activity.

If you do not wish to use vinegar or lemon juice to dye them with, that's okay. You don't need them. The lemon juice and vinegar is an acid which helps the colours be more vibrant. You can just use water alone and the eggs will still dye but be more pastel shades.

BEST FOR TODDLERS.... No need to boil the eggs to dye them. You can dye them with cold water. (could be boiled beforehand and cooled down to dye or keep raw and use at a later date).

HOW TO COLOUR EGGS USING NATURAL DYES ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💓

NATURAL DYES:

❤️RED - Red onion skins
💚GREEN - Spinach
💜PURPLE - Red wine
🧡ORANGE - Tea bags
🫐DARK BLUE - Blueberries
💙LIGHT BLUE - Purple cabbage
💛YELLOW - Turmeric
💓PINK - Beets

Remember at add 1 teaspoon of white vinegar to every cup of water you use when boiling your eggs with your chosen dyes.

A great activity with little ones. Easter doesn't just stop today it can last the for the whole next week if you wish. Why not buy some eggs and get experimenting with different natural dyes. This is a fun activity for all ages, and the best part is you can eat them after!! Happy colouring everyone xx
